Associate Pastor of Student & Family Ministries
 Luis Garcia

Luis came to Parkdale from Dallas where he served for 10-12 years in churches and camps alike. God has blessed him with a beautiful family.

His lovely wife, Angelica (also his high school sweetheart), and Luis have been married 15 years and they have 3 precious children. Jacob is 14, Gabriel is 12 and Asiah is 10 years old. Luis enjoys spending time with his family and friends.

His interests include fishing, camping, basketball as well as other recreational sports.

Luis loves the energy that comes with being around other believers that are excited about God's work especially students who get fired up about Jesus. He feels that is incredibly awesome and that is what ministry and discipleship is all about.

 Worship Pastor: Edwin Parker

After growing up in San Antonio, Edwin moved to New York where he earned a Bachelor of Music from the Eastman School of Music in 1991 followed by a Master of Music from the Manhattan School of Music in 1995.

After many years as a jazz musician in New York City, God called Edwin into the ministry at Times Square Church where he served as a staff musician, playing in the band and writing music for services and recordings. It was in the midst of one of these recordings that he met Andrea, a lyricist and singer that became his future wife and mother of his two children, Camille and Sebastian.

Moving back to San Antonio, he became the Associate Pastor at Northridge Park Baptist Church and worked as the adjunct saxophone professor and jazz director at Trinity University.

Edwin came to Parkdale Baptist in January 2008. He desires to build a music and arts program that fosters community and love that celebrates of the diversity of musical tastes that constitute the sincere expressions of God's people..
